Bamboo Screens

For countless millennia Bamboo has been widely used as a building material, in furniture, tools and decorative items, bamboo has long been regarded in Asia as both practical and beautiful. No other plant, other than rice, has played such an essential role in the lives of billions across Asia. The rest of the world is now beginning to discover the amazing qualities of bamboo.

The bamboo screen is a great solution to block walls or coloured fence panels. Made up from individual lengths of bamboo approx 20 mm in diameter. They are then bound together with galvanised wire to form a continuous roll 2.4 metres long. This gives you a flexible or solid maintenance free screen that is easily and quickly installed and gives a delightful and exotic Oriental style to any area.

The screen colour can range from blond down to olive.

Bamboo screens have an estimated life span of between five and ten years outdoors. This is directly dependant on correct fitting so we recommend that you always read our " How to" page before purchase as we cannot be held responsible for any discolouration or damage due to incorrect fitting.

There is no maintenance other than any required for aesthetic reasons. All bamboo fades over time depending on its moisture content and is location to the path of the sun. The more exposure to sunlight the lighter it becomes. Left alone the bamboo may develop a black mould which will disappear once the sun gets to it but should it become unsightly then either blast it off with a power wash or brush it off with a stiff brush.
